Finding talents, creating networks
The chilly evening in Hanoi was kept warm by a group of enthusiastic alumni who attended the 4th Overseas Alumni Chapter (OAC) in this city on 26 March 2016. More than 50 alumni, staff and guests gathered at The Rooftop, one of the most popular hang-out bar among locals to catch up with family.
The event presented another first where both OAC committees from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City worked together on this Hanoi reunion. Through such networking events, alumni reunions and even corporate social responsibility initiatives (in the pipeline!), the committees hoped to instil alumni pride, re-connect with overseas alumni, create awareness and opportunities for internship or jobs for current students, fresh graduates and working alumni alike.
Hanoi OAC committee member Ms Eve Nguyen Bao Ngoc (SIM-University of London, Class of 2011) rightfully shared with fellow alumni that networking was how the world was connected now.
"Five years after graduation, I realised the power of networking in both personal and professional life. The networks that you built with your classmates in school shall become your asset. The reason why I joined OAC Hanoi committee is to create more opportunities for SIM GE alumni to re-connect. I feel so honoured to be part of the family and thankful for such amazing and meaningful experiences."
Do you share the same vision and passion as Eve? Come be part of us and make a difference as one.

Catch us at our next gathering in Ho Chi Minh City later part of the year.
